Human resource management software, as the name implies, handles and manages complete details of the employees of an organization. Companies have used such applications on a large scale as it effectively helps with data management of employees and various HR processes. Human resource management software is also called HRMS.

There were many functions that an organization’s human resources department needed to perform ours manually. However, the processes were complicated and the increasing amount of data needed for the systems to be automated. HRMS appropriately integrates human resource management and information technology, thus helping to plan and execute automation of HR processes. Human resource management software is also part of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application, which also allows other modules of financial applications to be integrated with it.   • Management Administration – all information related to any additional reimbursements and benefits provided to employees maintained in this module. This may include details of insurance policies, pension schemes, stock options, etc.

Human resource management systems may also be equipped with advanced features such as automated payroll check and compensation checks, send relevant messages to employees and / or other departments, generate other complex reports, and analyze employee information for required business operations among many others. HRMS is able to provide services beyond conventional HR operations. Some versions of human resource management software also include content management features and customized processes to improve employee communication, thus significantly reducing HR tasks.
