With this integration, farmer customers at the bank can avail free home delivery of all agricultural-related products at over 27,000 locations across the country from the IFFCO eBazar portal, a bank release said.
Farmers can order seeds, fertilizers, agricultural machinery, pesticides, organic products and various other agricultural products online without a minimum order value via the IFFCO eBazar portal. “With the integration of IFFCO Bazar at Yono Krishi, customers will now be able to purchase high quality agricultural inputs and agricultural machinery online. This is another step towards fulfilling the government’s vision of doubling the farmer’s income by 2022,” the bank’s CEO (retail and digital banking) CS Setty said in the release.
Over three crore-registered Yono customers will benefit from the integration of Yono Krishi and IFFCO eBazar, the bank said.
In a separate statement, IFFCO CEO U S Awasthi said the IFFCO eBazar portal aims to realize the Prime Minister’s dream of doubling farmers’ incomes through a digital first and farmer-centric approach.
Through the portal, farmers can not only order best quality non-subsidized fertilizer and other inputs to agriculture, but can also get answers to their queries through a farmers forum and a dedicated helpline, he added.
IFFCO’s Marketing Director Yogendra Kumar said the collaboration will help IFFCO eBazar reach over 3 crore-registered customers at Yono, a large proportion of whom happen to be farmers. “Through the partnership, we can leverage the strong brand equity in rural India to create a reliable ecosystem that will ultimately help reduce input costs for farmers,” he added.
IFFCO eBazar is a 100 percent subsidiary IFFCO Ltd. Through its online B2C platform, IFFCO eBazar sells a range of agricultural products. The platform is available in 12 languages via the app (both Playstore and App store) and portal.
